Visit to Sari Spazio show-room and Interview with Giulio Di Sabato.

It’s a real pleasure to come to this show-room, located in one of the quite streets of Milano city centre. Numerous clients (among them there are also fashion buyers from Russia) can make their choice of new collections by worldwide known brands as Jenny Packham, Oscar de la Renta Furs, Jacob Kohen, Abercrombie&Fitch, Replay, and others; and also have an opportunity to talk with Giulio Di Sabato, President of Assomoda and Assotemporary, Member of  FNAARC Board of Directors (FNAARC is an Italian organization of trade agents), and owner of Sari Spazio, one of the most well-known showrooms in Milan.  Charismatic and charming, real professional and good interlocutor, Giulio Di Sabato agreed to give some advice to newcomers into fashion industry.

Giulio Di Sabato: “To be successful in any kind of work, first, you need to “have a gift”. In Italian we say “avere talento”. Many people may have this gift but maybe they never discovered it or they never had a possibility to develop it. If you have a gift, you are lucky. But it is not enough, because if you put your talent or your knowledge in the wrong direction, and you do not work using your professional features and ethic behavior, your talent is wasted. So you need also a professionalism and honesty.

All that gives you the right to be proud of yourself and gives a lot of energy, and keep you going to do your job.

When I was elected as a President of Assomoda, the first thing which I did, was to establish the  Code of Ethical Behavior which now  is obligatory for any member of Assomoda.  It has about 50 articles which you have to follow.  That is what I want to tell not only to young designers but also to all young people – gift is not enough for a big business, you have also to behave in an ethical way and to respect other people. In Russia, and in many growing economics that is very important now”.

We talked with Mr. Di Sabato about "Made in Italy" brand and its role for Italian and world economy in general, and many other topics. But we’ll come back to this conversation again – now we plan some business events on fashion branding, and this topic will be very interesting to anyone willing to work in this sector.

And meanwhile we’d like to thank for this meeting organization all the Sari Spazio team, and our personal gratitude is to Christina Tkatchenko and Antonella Nucera, and wish to the company a lot of success in developing their business.
