Pietro Brunelli: We are glad to present our new concept which is really a revolution in the market. Brand PB Jeans is designed for modern travelling fashionistas, for women who love to travel with comfort. Main idea of these jeans is to put together fashion and comfort because when a women travels, she needs to feel herself stylish and comfortable. PB Jeans have special stretch system with high content of lycra, and also we use jersey that gives all the needed comfort. 

FashionEducation.ru: That is really great also for our moms, for example – they usually would like to wear jeans as their daughters, but it is really difficult to find the proper size, as sometimes standard sizes do not fit them well. 

 

Pietro Brunelli: Yes, you find that magic word! Of course, we think about women who travel, but in the same time, who needs a comfort in their everyday life? Ladies! So, our second target audience – ladies who can wear jeans with the same comfort as their usual clothes, and we have many clients within this audience. Also among our clients there a lot of celebrities and TV stars. Maybe they are not very famous here in Russia, but in Italy everyone knows them. So we think that in Russia we also will find many loyal customers, and celebrities as well.  

 

FashionEducation.ru: How you are going to promote your brand in Russia? 

Pietro Brunelli: Well, our first step is to grow a net of selective distribution shops. Now you can already find PB Jeans in chain of Salita shops in Moscow. I’d like to say that we are very pleased with collaboration with Salita, these are really good shops, where you can find a lot of well-known world brands, and we are also happy to be there. I really like their shops, especially the big one at Leninsky prospect, they have nice selection of brands. 

We hope to enter TSUM very soon. So, our first promotion is to be in selective places. For Pietro Brunelli we also start to promote brand via celebrities and famous people. 

 

FashionEducation.ru: Our special question is about education. What kind of education can really help to build a good career, and what would you advise to beginners? 

Pietro Brunelli: To young people who study in fashion schools and want to be professionals I advise to understand that in fashion there are not only fashion designers, but also plenty of other interesting jobs. Everybody wants to be a fashion designer, but in one fashion company there’s place to one or two, maximum three fashion designers, and there are hundreds or even thousands people working in other sectors as  production, brand management, distribution etc. Companies have difficulties in finding good staff in these spheres, so you can make a good career there. To be successful fashion designer you need to have really huge talent, if not – you’ll be assistant of designer all your life, so why all young people want to be only designers? There are so many opportunities in the market, and usually you can make much more money from this job, if you are really good. Especially in Russia, as you do not produce a lot, there are more promising professions in brand management and promotion. 

FashionEducation.ru: OK, we’ll tell it to our readers and students! When you are going to come next time? 

Pietro Brunelli: Well, I come to Russia rather often. Next time I plan to come with Italian Chamber of Commerce, that will be a business trip to South of Russia, Krasnodar region, and a lot of meetings with fashion retailers. I also plan to visit Texas just before this trip, and, as I have read in Aeroflot magazine that Rostov-on-Don is like Texas in USA, so I will compare it!

But I love Moscow, and I always glad to stay here!
